Best of Gangtok and Aritar – Hidden treasures of East Sikkim

Reading Time: 9 minutes Sikkim which is a very small state is also known as the first organic state of India. Infact, reason being so, is that the government have made a very strict vigilant at three major check post, where a strict screening on the incoming amount of fertilizers are regularly tracked. The population here is just about Six lakhs forty thousand .One of their major source of income comes from tourism. And a large community of locals have gladly turned their shelters as home-stays which are scattered all around Sikkim. It also gives every tourist a sense of belonging, as they get the opportunity to mix with locals and get connected with their way of life.

SANDAKPHU TREK | HIGHEST POINT IN WEST BENGAL-INDIA

Reading Time: 9 minutes It’s been a journey which was all about learning, realization and testing my potential. I came out of my comfort zone and lived my days out of my backpack, made friends, talked to locals, to understand the hardship, to appreciate each smaller little things which may seems very little but has a deeper meaning. I felt extremely content to have been able to ticked off one more wish out of my bucket list.  I now look at it, I realized that journeys are actually way more important than the destination. What I said not because I could not witness any stunning view at the top. But it is because, I trekked for 5 days covering about 45 kms chasing something which I could not get the view of. Still I feel that I could achieve the inner joy of finding my new love for mountains. I think I m just hooked on to this and I will definitely going to take up many more treks.
